Archeology
Our house was built in 1926, with many people residing here before us. I like it when I am out digging in the yard and I unearth things that previous tenants have left behind. Today I found this delicate, beautiful little bowl out where the apple tree used to be. To whom did the bowl belong? Do they ever wonder about it? Another time, while digging a trench for a new water line, I came across a group of old glass bottles that someone had discarded, including this old Lysol bottle pictured next to the bowl. I imagine that all of the little things that I have unearthed out in the yard have some story behind them. I like to think about that.
