A Serenade
The bus ride this morning came with a pleasant surprise: Live cello music. A fellow passenger who takes the transit to High School got on board with his cello, heading to orchestra practice. The bus driver enthusiastically encouraged him to play for us as we rode along, so he pulled his cello out of its case, handed me some sheet music to hold for him, and started right in. What a wonderfully warm sound the cello makes, and what an unusual and beautiful way to end my work week.
