Christmas Lights

Last night was the beginning of winter, the shortest day of the year, and the night of lights for us Griswolds, I mean, Olsons.
We took in all the storefronts downtown, watched the Christmas train at the Palace Hotel, and took a drive about town looking at lights.
Each year our town newspaper publishes a map for locating the best light displays.

Behold, our neighbor is awarded with a "four-bulb" rating.

Our Mexican Food starting place.

The glow of downtown storefronts (without the tourists!)

A favorite of ours: A Christmas tree made of books.

On to the toy store...

...where "Dick and Jane" readers have been modernized.

The train at The Palace Hotel, where the innkeeper always reminds us that "there's free cider for you."

Doing their best to obey the Do Not Touch sign.
And a clip here of our walking and driving light tour.
