Reduced Yields in Aisle 2
Strawberry yields may be affected by slugs, deer, and powdery mildew. But my greater concern is for this large garden pest which goes by the Latin name Hungrius Henryus. This devastating forager has always had a sweet tooth for strawberries, and yesterday this particular pest found out that berries grow in his very own backyard. With an exclamation of Bear! (berries) he set straight to work, picking up any reddish berry (ripe or partially ripe) and devouring it right there. Houston, we have a problem!
