In The Garden

There are things that I look forward to when returning from a trip: I like listening to the answering machine messages (this time it was one recording, one business, and one personal). I like checking the mail (bills, bills, Sunset and Readymade Magazine) And I like seeing what has happened in the garden while I have been away. I am disappointed to find that those little elves who helped that cobbler make his shoes at night did not visit our garden to weed for me. Nevertheless, I am happy to find that the phlox, purple coneflower, and sea holly have all been showing their faces. Also, the first zinnia is making itself known and there are the beginnings of pumpkins to be seen. And now on to weeding...
