Welding Final

Today was my last day of welding class. I have enjoyed the learning experience and will miss those mornings spent in the shop. Though there was no academic credit for the class, I felt that I needed to make a final exam for myself. So I chose a tricky task: I would modify our antique bed. About a year ago, Lisa and I bought an old metal bed that we found on Craigslist. It had the look that we liked, but needed modification to accept a modern mattress. An internet search showed me what needed to be done: Lengthen the rails by six inches. So, with the help of my instructor, I think I accomplished the task. (Putting  on the new mattress and seeing if it fits will be the final test.) Flame On!
