In The Garden

 National Take-A-Photo-Of-The-Garden-From-Your-Rooftop Day has come and gone. What follows is the current status of our little plot in this world:

Wood chips have been applied on the paths. Hawthorne is over on the right, next to the row of potatoes.
November is on the left, contemplating the bees in the clover.
The tricycles are parked up by the sweet peas.

Picking chives.

Between the strawberries and the peas.

Here is a size 8 boot print in a recently seeded bed.

And here is a lettuce seedling which escaped the size 8 boot.

The Yarrow is going strong.

The red hot pokers in bloom.

Bachelor buttons

With their ragged, slug-chewed edges, the sweet peas are making their way towards the sky.

The spinach is finally ready.

Crimson clover was my cover crop for the winter.

The tendrils of the peas hold on for dear life.
