The Stump House

Memorial Day Weekend gave us a chance to take our first hike of the season. We returned to a nature preserve over in Seabeck that we had not hiked since our November was a wee little one. The trees, creek, and saltwater were all wonderful, but the highlight for me was taking the boys to the stump house. Back in the 1930's, it was used as a hideout for a fugitive. Today it was a play house for two little boys.

The walk down.

The run down.

The Stump House!

Walking through a meadow of horsetails.

Tuckered out at the end of the day.
